Summer Time On The West Side

I did a 13 mile bike ride today (hungover) on the west side of Salt Lake City. I crossed Utah's so called gang territories; I detected numerous tags ever two or three blocks. Some gangsters need to learn how to spell accurately. I turn down the Jordan Park Way trail and rode down the nasty trail. Homeless people everywhere asking me for smokes even though I had my headphones on. I felt bad for the people I saw on the trail, it was hot, and they were laying down in rubbish and dirt. Most of them seemed happy it wasn’t winter, and some seemed mad that it’s already hot and it’s not even July yet. They have a lengthy summer ahead of them.
My hangover was due to a great night at the Urban Lounge where Samba Greco played with their dancers. Also Giant played and they were an amazing band. There are at least twenty people in the band and the sound like a five piece (in a good way). Ran into Brandie there, as I always do in this small city. She looked great as usual, and we caught up a bit. I happy that she finally likes Utah a little more. I’m glad we’re civil and can be friends…cool girl. Also I hung out with Nate for the first time in a long time. I miss that kid a lot. I want to see him more around my parts. All in all it was a good night to see friends and ex’s ;) (She didn’t pull my hair).
