So i have arrived in beautiful Portland, Oregon. I have been here for one week and have tried 4 new brews. I know my first entry while living here should be about how much I miss my family and friends, although I do miss everyone, it still feels like I'm here on vacation.
I drove down to Mount Angel on Friday with Randy (uncle) and Gayle (aunt) for Oktoberfest. Mount Angel is a German settlement 20 or so minutes from Oregon City (place of residency). The town looks like something from the it's a small world ride at Disney land. They had the usual Oregon brews on tap, but they had Spatan...which i didn't think would ever be on tap anywhere on he west coast. I had the Spatan Dunkel, which was amazing and very powerful , because I was drunk after three servings. Carmack and Cass would've loved this Oktoberfest because it's up our alley in so many ways. Next year they wil be up here with me, and we'll slosh buckle together with all the hardcore Germans.
I miss everyone, and I hope to see some of you follow this blog to keep up with me.
